The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) has confirmed that the GWCT Scottish Game Fair will go ahead this year (September 24-26), with a new organiser.

The Game Fair will run the GWCT Scottish Game Fair under licence. The announcement is the result of a new partnership between GWCT and the organiser of The Game Fair. The deal guarantees the income for the conservation charity and the long-term future of the much-loved three-day event.

James Gower, managing director of The Game Fair, said: “This new partnership demonstrates our commitment to the sector by supporting one of the most important charities. The Scottish Game Fair plays a hugely important role in providing funds for the GWCT and this exciting new arrangement with the trust means that we can add our expertise to making this event a continuing success both this year and in the future.”

David Noble, chairman of GWCT in Scotland, commented: “GWCT members, visitors and stakeholders can expect a fabulous event this year in the format they know and love in the wonderful setting of Scone Palace. Having missed the show last year, we are thrilled to be able to make this much-anticipated announcement. The event is so important to the region, the industry, our visitors and stakeholders and will provide much-needed funding for the GWCT.”
