Sunbelt Rentals has appointed Graham Dames, as business development director for Event Infrastructure Solutions.

Dames, who joined the business in March, has two decades of experience and knowledge working in sales and customer-based roles. He previously worked at Aggreko, where he was instrumental in building and managing the UK event portfolio.

He will be the conduit between the Trakway, SIS (Site Infrastructure Solutions) and wider Sunbelt Rentals specialisms. Dames will ensure that these businesses operate commercially to deliver events-based projects of all shapes and sizes, across the UK and Europe.

Dames will report into Gordon McKay, managing director of Engineered Solutions. His main responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, supporting tenders and building long-lasting partnerships with new and existing customers.

McKay said: “This is an exciting time for SIS, as we branch out into other sectors and develop our event infrastructure offering further. Graham will play a key role in developing greater awareness of our product and service offering. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, and is an excellent addition to the team of experts already working in the business.
