The former director of events and experience at ViacomCBS has launched Showrunner Productions. Isla Miskelly, who has 17 years’ experience of working on live events and festivals, has launched Showrunner, which will work directly with brands and talent to create and “bring to life” commercial events.

The first event to be created and promoted by the Showrunner team is 5 on the Farm. This will be delivered in partnership with Channel 5, ViacomCBS and Ghostwriter Events. More than 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day outdoor event from August 28-30. Visitors can step into the world of Channel 5’s popular TV programmes and enjoy a fantastic variety of activities including presenter panels and Q&As, countryside skills workshops and demonstrations, and see their favourite stars perform throughout the weekend.

Showrunner Productions is a partnership with Ghostwriter Events and Consultancy, headed up by Carl Bathgate, Richard Maides and Victoria Smith. Maides and Bathgate founded Ghostwriter in 2019 and lead on key partnerships with Arena Racing Co and multiple venues around the UK, as well as providing consultancy and event productions services.

Miskelly said: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Victoria, Carl, Richard and the Ghostwriter team all of whom I have much admired for not only their hard work ethic, but company values. With several projects in pre-production that we hope to announce later in the year, it’s an exciting time to be launching a new business in the experiences space. It’s fantastic to not only promote but create and produce new experiences and IP for brands and talent.”

Miskelly has previously developed and promoted SlimeFest and Nickelodeon Big Base Camp (ViacomCBS), Truck Festival, Gathering, No Tomorrow and Community. During her time at Live Nation, Miskelly promoted an extensive list of arena tours with artists including Bastille, Halsey and Imagine Dragons.
