The Isle of Man will host a brand new festival this summer – Rockingmann Festivals has launched the Isle of Man Festival in association with MTV. The festival will take place on July 6 and will be sponsored by Alcatel One Touch.
Chris Lyons, director of Rockingmann Festivals, commented: “We have 15 years experience in the festivals market and we launched Rockingmann Festivals specifically to handle The Isle of Man Festival.”
Lyons and his team have chosen to work with Iris Ticketing and is using its online ticketing system to manage sales.
Following an initial ticket sale offer to residents of the Isle of Man, Rockingmann Festivals will be offering a range of ticketing packages which will include travel onto the island, early-bird upgrade offers for tickets, camping and transport, which will all be managed by the Iris Web system.
The one-day festival, which will be staged at Nobles Park, has a capacity for up to 15,000 festivalgoers – MTV will be promoting the festival and consumers can also buy tickets on the MTV website.
Continued Lyons: “As a new company launching a new festival, we have all the challenges of a new business including managing cash flow – the Iris Web solution offers exactly what we need, especially as we receive the revenue as soon as tickets sell. It’s easy to set up and get running quickly, but also ensures we are in control – of our customer data, our revenue, and deciding how and when we want to market to our customers. With Iris Ticketing, we also know there is support at hand if there are any glitches; we won’t be left sorting it ourselves.”
