The temporary structures specialist, Neptunus, has announced that it has built the temporary hospitality facility at the RBS Six Nations matches at Twickenham.
Neptunus were appointed by event specialist, Smart Group – the Rugby Football Union’s official provider of match-day hospitality – to construct the venue in the grounds of the Army’s Royal School of Music at Kneller Hall, close to Twickenham Stadium.
It took a 10-person team of technicians from Neptunus eight days to build 2,500 square metres of temporary facilities. These included a large Alure Globe structure spanning 1,800 metres, which formed the main dining room, accommodating up to 900 guests and incorporating a reception and exhibition area, plus additional space for bars and kitchens. Neptunus was also responsible for heating, power and the internal fit-out including linings, carpets, luxury washrooms and graphics.
