The acquisition bolsters Media 10’s offering within the kitchen and bathroom sector, and includes the Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards event, as well as both a trade and consumer title. All brands will continue to be headed up and managed by Clara Perry, under a directorship role of the newly formed kitchen and bathroom division at Media 10.
Perry commented: “I launched the first ever issue of Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom magazine back in July 2007 at Grand Designs Live. Having known Lee Newton and the directors at Media 10 for more than 15 years, I am overwhelmed and beaming with pride that the brands I have built up over the last 11 years have now become part of the Media 10 portfolio.
“Together, we have some really exciting plans for the magazines and brands, including new launches across print and events for the kitchen and bathroom sector. This really is an exciting time and I can’t wait to get going!”
Newton added: “With over a million people visiting our events each year from both the trade and consumer markets, we are delighted to be able to join forces with Clara and her excellent team; this partnership puts us in a unprecedented position where all products can take advantage of each other’s strengths to continue to build strong brands across all media platforms within the kitchen and bathroom industry.”
