The Luminate magical light trial at Coombe Abbey Country Park, near Coventry is going ahead as planned this year, with tickets now on sale for the event which opens on November 25. In readiness for the opening, the event has recently been awarded the Visit Britain “We’re Good to Go” certification.

The “We’re Good to Go” mark shows that the event has implemented COVID-19 Government guidance, and put in place measures to ensure visitor and staff safety.

Daniel Maycock, director of Luminate, said: “We are really looking forward to putting on this new, COVID-19 compliant version of our light trail at Coombe Abbey Country Park. We had such great feedback from our previous light trails and we can’t wait to bring it to the Midlands!”

The event has been modified due to the current climate, with online pre-booking of tickets required, strict time slot entry on the night to reduce any queuing and a reduction in the capacity on the event site, being just some of the measures in place.

Maycock added: “The light trial actually really suits socially distancing rules – as people want to be with their own ‘bubble’, and it’s all outside in the fresh air as well. We have had to re-imagine some of the interactive elements, so there are less touch points but we feel we have created a memorable trail, with something for all ages.”

The organiser is keen to point out that  it is offering a Covid Refund Guarantee, meaning, should there be an escalation of COVID restrictions and the event has to be cancelled or postponed, if you have purchased a ticket you will be able to move to a new date or offered a full refund.
