Following its recent acquisition of Rhythm magazine, Lifestyle Media House has revealed the launch of Grand Slam, an event for new and professional drummers that will debut at Wembley Stadium in 2020.
Taking place on November 7 and 8, Grand Slam will feature a number of workshops and drumming masterclasses.
Rob Last, director of Lifestyle Media House, said of the launch: “The Grand Slam is going to be an incredibly exciting weekend for the whole drum community and will provide us with the opportunity to create some phenomenal online content with our partners.
“With 5,500 square metres of exhibition space, seminar rooms and 50 demonstration boxes for clinics, or product demos, Wembley provides us the perfect opportunity to deliver the show we have been dreaming of putting together.”
Louise King, editorial director of Rhythm, added: “Building on Rhythm’s rich history of drum events has always been a key part of relaunching and bringing the Rhythm brand back to life. Not only will the Grand Slam feature stunning live performances from a fantastic line-up of the world’s greatest drummers – plus seminars and masterclasses from Rhythm’s expert team of educators – visitors will also have the opportunity to get their hands on all the hottest new gear from planet drum.
“Along with a series of additional innovative features, it promises to be an unmissable weekend for all drummers and percussionists and a true celebration of everything that the Rhythm brand stands for.”
