Larmer Tree Festival has appointed two new team members that will play key roles in taking the festival forward in 2018.
Sarah Dennehy has joined Larmer Tree as creative director, and will lead on programming for the 2018 festival. Dennehy is joined by Rachel Kinchin who will head-up Larmer Tree’s marketing and communications team.
Larmer Tree Festival, which takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens, took a year off in 2017 to “take stock” and plan for the future. Now, the festival’s organising team has announced that it will return on July 20-22, 2018.
Dennehy has programmed and produced festivals in the UK and overseas – most recently Perth Festival, Australia, and is currently also executive producer on Festival of Voice, a new biennial international arts festival for Cardiff, which she launched with the with Wales Millennium Centre for 2016.
Kinchin has successfully collaborated with Dennehy on Festival of Voice in Cardiff and has more than 12 years of arts marketing and audience development experience working with venues, companies, artists and international events and festivals including Edinburgh Fringe and Folkestone Triennial. Sarah works in a freelance capacity under the company name, HerCreative (Herc) based in Bristol.
The pair join the existing Larmer Tree team of Lucy Babb, operations director and board of directors, James Shepard, Julia Safe and Rob Challice.
