Just the Tonic, the UK comedy promoter, has partnered with TicketCo to launch its own TV station to entertain people staying at home.

Jon Richardson, comedian and star of 8 Out of 10 Cats, will feature in the first episode of ‘This Glorious Lockdown’ on Just the Tonic’s pay-per-view online TV channel on May 9. The channel will provide a live comedy club experience featuring its comedians.

Just the Tonic is the first UK company to partner with TicketCo TV, which was launched earlier this month to help event organisers during the COVID-19 lockdown.

TicketCo, a cloud-based event payment company, enables promoters and venues to book performance artists and to broadcast exclusive pay-per-view events via the Internet on their own TV channel. Full HD quality and crystal-clear sound can be enjoyed on any device. There are no set-up costs, an affordable pay-as-you-go price plan and streaming software is included. Digital tickets can be sold for the virtual events via The TicketCo app.

Just the Tonic is encouraging the public to create their own parties at home. Comedians including Jon Richardson, Naomi Cooper, Darius Davis, Phil Ellis and Adam Bloom will join Martin to provide the closest to a live gig experience as possible. Other big names are in discussion over future events.
