Taking place from April 28-30, 2017, at The International Centre, Telford, the 2017 NAHT annual conference will welcome 450 attendees. The conference will include the association’s AGM, and involve debate and policy making with addresses from the general secretary, incoming national president and guest speakers. Those attending the three-day conference will also be able to engage and network with sponsors and colleagues.
Nick Brook, deputy general secretary at school leaders’ union NAHT, commented: “We are thrilled to be bringing the 2017 NAHT Annual Conference to the International Centre, Telford, this year. The venue offers us the space and flexibility we need in order to run such a large and significant event for the association. We will be using the conference to debate the big issues facing schools in 2017: a crisis in school funding, problems with recruitment and retention, the chaotic and confusing primary assessment system, and the mental health and wellbeing of pupils and teachers. We look forward to taking advantage of the excellent facilities and location of The International Centre, Telford.”
Alison Griffin, sales and marketing director at The International Centre, Telford, added: “As the home for large events, we are delighted to welcome the NAHT to The International Centre, Telford, for the first time. We are looking forward to showcasing all the fantastic facilities, staff expertise and exceptional service that we offer here and watching the NAHT Annual Conference come to life.”
