The Halo Group was commissioned to design and build a giant hamper for Waitrose as part of an experiential campaign at Kings Cross station.
The installation was part of the retailer’s #homeforchristmas campaign and was primarily driven by the Waitrose social media team to help raise brand awareness. The project utilised many of The Halo Group’s core products and services to help create the end result.
The lead agency on the project, Fuse, approached The Halo Group for its specialist fabrication knowledge to design and install the hamper. The project featured a snow covered festive set complete with a selection of winter props, set pieces, Christmas trees and other scenic touches.
Creative director at the Halo Group, Sam Matthews, said: “The Waitrose #homeforchristmas project firmly occupied our sweet spot as a creative production agency. Much of what we design and build is tailor made and this project was no exception as almost every element of this exciting installation was either bespoke or specially commissioned. The project utilised several of our departments from our in-house design team, who created 3D renders for the client prior to signoff through to our scenic art and production department, set dressers and stylists, specialist structure crew and of course our incredible carpentry team. It was a pleasure working with the Fuse team who, together with the end client provided a detailed brief, which we were proud to be able to replicate in a refined delivery on the day.”
