Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) and Stand Out magazine have formed an industry partnership that will engage festival professionals ahead of Festival Congress 2019.

Festival Congress, AIF’s flagship two day conference and Independent Festival Awards, comprises a series of panel sessions, keynotes and fireside chats, designed to share industry knowledge and best practice. Something which Stand Out magazine, organiser of Event Buyers Live, agrees is a refreshing and proven method to unearth relevant insight and best practice.

The industry partnership will see both organisations work together to share a wide range of relevant content, engaging both Stand Out readers and AIF members.

Paul Reed, chief executive of AIF, commented: “Forming an industry partnership with Stand Out will allow us to connect with the magazine’s wider audience in sharing and informing event professionals on the latest festival developments and ensuring that one of the leading titles in our industry is present at Festival Congress”.

Neil Fagg, publisher of Stand Out, added: ““The festival and events industry is an ever-growing sector and this partnership will allow us to engage with our readership even further, making it the perfect marriage. AIF pioneers market movement and change, which we also support and promote.”

Fagg continued: “We formed a partnership with the AIF back in 2013 and we are always in support of the AIF and its work. We’re excited to work with AIF’s members and share and update event professionals on the latest event and festival developments.”

Festival Congress takes place on November 6-7 at the Abbeydale Picturehouse Cinema and Social, Sheffield. The independent festival awards will be held at Burton Road, Sheffield.
