Fast Forward 15, the mentoring scheme for women in hospitality and events, has announced its latest line-up of mentors.

The 15 mentors have been selected for “their dedication to helping nurture and empower future female talent as well as their far-reaching knowledge and networks”. The line-up comprises a spectrum of personalities from the business tourism sector including Geoff Allwright from Airbus UK and Carina Bauer from IMEX Group. Corporate representation is filled by the likes of Stephenie Lintl-McLean from Fidelity International and Toby Guest from Bayer.

Founded by Fay Sharpe, vice president of BCD Meetings and Events, Fast Forward 15 is now in its fifth year. Sharpe commented: “We’re delighted to announce our highly talented mentors for Fast Forward 15’s 2019/20 intake. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to each of them for giving up their time and knowledge and for their devotion to developing the next generation of leaders.

“The scheme has proved to be a fantastic catalyst for those looking to advance their personal and professional development and that is down to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic mentors. We’re thrilled to see a number of returning faces who have supported the initiative from its conception, as well as a few new additions and we can’t wait to kickstart what is set to be another fantastic year!”

Lucy Anstie, head of client engagement at London Business Forum and former Fast Forward 15 mentee, added: “I was incredibly honoured to be a part of the 2018 class of the Fast Forward 15 program. The initiative allowed me to meet and spend time with some of the biggest and most influential people in our industry, something which is truly invaluable to aspiring female leaders. I would wholeheartedly recommend the initiative and would urge anyone thinking about the opportunity to get involved!”
