The British Toy and Hobby Association has appointed RefTech for a three-year contract to handle visitor registration and badging for their annual Toy Fair event.

The contract will run until 2021 and include online registration (including an approval process for hosted buyers) and 13 on-site badge stations comprising of eight Fast Track badge collection points, four onsite stations and a VIP station. Toy Fair will also be using RefTech’s Apple Wallet and Android Passbook badge options allowing visitors to store their ebadges on their phones. Two RefTech on-site engineers will also be on hand to ensure a smooth registration and badging process.

Majen Immink, director of fairs and special events, The British Toy and Hobby Association, said: “We have been working with RefTech since 2010 and have been very satisfied with the level of service that Rachel Coker, our project manager, and her team have provided over the years. Rachel is professional, knowledgeable and communicative; she knows our event inside out and feels like part of our team. Furthermore, we rarely encounter any issues onsite at Toy Fair thanks to the competency of the on-site team led by Stephen Reeves and Chris Sellers. RefTech is continually looking to improve and further the service they provide and I feel our registration system is in very capable hands.”

Simon Clayton, chief ideas officer at RefTech, said: “Toy Fair was one of first events that we provided our Fast Track system to and the relationship has deepened every year we have worked together. It’s great to see them adopt the new Apple Wallet and Android Passbook options for visitors – because these provide an easy and familiar way for visitors to store and access their ebadges.”

Toy Fair will be held at Olympia, Kensington, London from January 23-25, 2018.
