A brand new fire and light spectacular in Kilmarnock’s Dean Castle Country Park is set to take place this autumn. ILLUMINIGHT, organised by East Ayrshire Leisure and Unique Events, and designed in conjunction with Black Light,  will feature state of the art lighting installations and music along a trail showing the park in a whole new light.  The 1.5km trail will take visitors through the historic woodland, alongside an illuminated River Irvine and through new wetland areas.

The event will run from October 25 to November 19 and forms part of the celebrations for the re-opening of the Kilmarnock attraction, following a multi-million pound restoration and renovation project.

Councillor Douglas Reid, leader of East Ayrshire Council and formerly chair of East Ayrshire Leisure, said: “We are reaching for the stars in East Ayrshire with the multi-million pound redevelopment of Dean Castle Country Park. Illuminight is a fitting way to celebrate the park re-opening and this world class event will shine a light on Dean Castle Country Park. We look forward to welcoming visitors from far and wide.”

Penny Dougherty, director of Unique Events, added: “Unique Events are thrilled to be producing a brand-new fire and light spectacular at the stunning Dean Castle Country Park.  The location is truly world-class and promises an incredible experience for families which will captivate and thrill thousands of visitors from across the country. Given the unique nature of this impressive event and Dean Castle Country Park’s loyal following, we know this will be a very popular event and recommend you get tickets early.  As the nights start to draw in, we can’t think of a better way to brighten-up a dark autumnal evening.”
