The Sound Lounge, a new community-oriented independent music and arts venue, will be using TicketWeb’s newly released Backline technology, which aims to give small venues and grassroots promoters a complete solution to sell tickets through their own bespoke platforms directly to fans. Services will include end-to-end management, event day functionality, PRS reporting, social integration, mobile capabilities, integrated marketing and more.
The Sound Lounge has crowdfunded more than £12,000 in just one month to give London a new independent music venue, which will also house a bar and vegetarian café.
Keiron Marshall and Hannah White, the husband and wife co-founders, said: “We are pleased that we have been able to join up with TicketWeb. Their Backline technology is a real revolution in gig-ticketing, being the only system which truly accounts for the entire structure behind independent music, from the artist through to the venue. We are full of optimism for not only our future as a new venue, but for the future of emerging talent and independent music in our capital and the UK.”
Sam Isles, managing director of TicketWeb, said: “At TicketWeb, maintaining a thriving grassroots music industry is at the heart of what we do. With venues finding it harder than ever to stay afloat, we see it as our duty to do whatever we can to make life easier for them. Working with venues such as The Sound Lounge has given us first hand insight into the needs and concerns of venues and promoters, and we are confident that TicketWeb Backline will help solve these issues and support venues, promoters and artists across the UK.”
