The Silverstone Wing Conference and Exhibition Centre will play host to an event industry charity event this May, as four teams of event industry luminaries take to the track in an endurance cycle ride fundraiser.
Utilising the 3.66-mile circuit for the race and the state-of-the art event facilities for the support teams and logistics, the race will be an endurance ride to see which team can cover the greatest distance in three hours.
Four teams will be headed up by event industry figures; Trevor Foley, managing director of tfconnect riding for Events for Namuwongo; Laura Moody, managing director of Blondefish riding for Walk Tall and Nick Grecian, group managing director of Gallowglass representing Howards Way Walk. The fourth team will be from Silverstone itself.
Moody said: “This is a wonderful initiative. Cycling is hugely popular amongst event professionals and being able to ride on the Silverstone Circuit with the support of the events team and the Silverstone Wing itself is very exciting.”
Chris Zachar, head of sales at Silverstone Circuits, added: “We are delighted to be hosting this event. It’s all about good causes in the event industry and makes great use of the flexibility and usability of the venue and event spaces.”
