Stand Out magazine can reveal details of its Outstanding Seminars that will be hosted at IOEX next week. Three sessions will take place over two days, each focusing on sustainability, festival organisers and experiential activity.
On March 7 at 11.15am, join Chris Johnson, director, Shambala Festival/Kambe Events, Sam Wilson, director, EcoEvents, and Dirk Mischendahl, managing director, Logistik, as they talk recycling and sustainability targets. The session entitled Eco Drive will provide practical tips on how to give your event a sustainable and eco-friendly edge.
At 2.30pm on March 7, hear from Lee Denny, founder, LeeFest, and Peter Nosworthy, founder/organiser of boutique festival Nozstock in the session From the Field. The two organisers will take your questions and reveal their plans for 2012 – both festivals are members of the Association of Independent Festivals, so if you organise your own event or boutique festival this is a not-to-be-missed session.
On March 8, Field of Experience also chaired by Stand Out, will look at examples of experiential activity at outdoor events and festivals. At 2.30pm learn about the good, the bad and the ugly of experiential activation and discover the secrets of what makes campaigns effective with Ian Irving, founder, The Tailor of Shoreditch, Ben Reed, business development director, Closer, and Ed Wood, managing director, A Little Bird.
The sessions are free to attend and encourage visitors to learn from their peers, so do attend armed with questions.
