Rachel Waterfield, former head of sales and marketing at Hawthorn, has joined technical production expert, Saville Audio Visual as head of marketing communications for the conference and live events division.
Her appointment follows a recent management buyout (MBO) that looks set to champion a new generation Saville under the directorship of Andy Dyson and Colin Nixey.
The MBO follows three years of top performance throughout the business, with the latest financial year revealing an impressive turnover across the Saville Group of £41 million. The conference and live event division, headed up by Nixey, has seen significant growth over the past 12 months, particularly within its digital event technologies service, which now boasts an impressive global client portfolio. Since the launch last year, Saville Concepts and Design, the in-house specialist set and staging department, also continues to expand in response to rising client demand with new facilities and exhibition build services.
This continued expansion of service offerings, together with a firm commitment to ongoing investment in their people, equipment and industry partnerships looks set to support the company’s ambitious growth plan.
Waterfield’s remit will include developing the new generation Saville brand whilst delivering and executing an integrated communications strategy for the conference and live events division.
Nixey said: “We are really excited to be entering a new era in the life of the Saville brand and are aiming high in terms of the growth of our conference and live events division. We are delighted that Rachel chose to join us, she is a welcome addition to our senior management team and the decision to bring her on board is part of our master plan to cement Saville as the market leader.”
Speaking of her new appointment, Waterfield added: “I am thrilled to be joining the Saville team at this milestone moment for the business. The team are committed to propelling the brand to the forefront of the technical production industry and I am simply here to engage with the industry audience, tell Saville’s compelling story of success and open the door to the natural growth that follows an effective communication strategy. Watch this space!”
