Marketing communications agency, Big Cat, has been appointed by the British Marine Federation following a competitive pitch.
The Birmingham agency will be working with British Marine Boat Shows to help deliver a fully integrated campaign to relaunch the London Boat Show 2018 which takes place at London’s ExCeL.
Big Cat has begun updating the visual identity of the show, which has announced plans for a redefined event by encompassing a further two shows within the original London Boat Show with a focus to attract a wider audience.
Big Cat will also provide the London Boat Show with a targeted digital and social media campaign, copywriting services, website optimisation and content creation.
Hannah Davies, associate director of Big Cat, said: “It’s an honour to be working on such a renowned event in the marine industry. Event marketing communications is our bread and butter so we are delighted to be supporting the British Marine Federation in their ambition to broaden the appeal of the London Boat Show to a wider demographic. The show has so much to offer so we are confident that our fresh approach is going to be a success.”
Speaking on behalf of British Marine Boat Shows, Mike Enser, head of marketing, added: “After a thorough pitch process where we saw some competitive concepts, we found Big Cat really shone through with their understanding of the brand and where we want to take it. They had clear strategic insight and creative ambition which will help us redefine the Show that kick starts the boating show season. We are really looking forward to establishing a successful long-term partnership.”
The recent win follows a successful year for the agency, working with a series of exhibitions such as Who Do You Think You Are? Live for its third consecutive year at Birmingham’s NEC.
