Fit The Bill, a producer of festivals and live entertainment events, has added a new boutique festival to its portfolio. Beyond The Sea is a new festival taking place May 25-27, at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham and will celebrate the composers, lyricists and song stylists of jazz, soul and swing music.

Martin Blore, director and executive producer of Fit The Bill, commented: “Lytham is the jewel in the Fylde coast crown. It’s traditional, classic café culture, a local population of sophisticated music lovers and the stunning location of Lowther Pavilion Theatre on the Lancashire coastline made ‘Beyond The Sea’ the perfect name for this new boutique music festival. The festival will also celebrate Lytham’s heritage for shrimping and potted shrimps will be served throughout the weekend.”

Tim Lince, chair of Lowther Trust, added: “This is an exciting venture for Lowther Pavilion and one that marks the end of the first phase of the redevelopment. Lowther has always punched well above its weight and this partnership with Fit the Bill will see more top name artists visiting the Fylde coast venue.”

Fit The Bill currently produce two annual festivals for Liverpool’s Albert Dock. Folk On The Dock focuses on folk, roots and acoustic music, attracting 90,000 people over the August bank holiday weekend. Pirates On The Dock in September, is one of the biggest pirate festivals in the UK, attracting 60,000 young families to watch a tall ships battle, join a mermaid parade and enjoy live entertainment throughout the weekend.
