Another week, and as ever, the events industry is a mix of cancellations and growth.
Just yesterday, Stand Out reported that the Manchester and Cambridge editions of the Bear Grylls Survival Race have been cancelled. However, the organiser has decided to expand its London event, which will take place on September 30.
Similarly, Eden Festival, the Scottish music festival, is expanding and is set to take place in 2017. Having secured funding from EventScotland, the event will be awarded £12,500 towards the creation of The Great Mountain Stage.
Kent Event Centre spread some positive news this week too; it announced it would host an outdoor cinema experience in conjunction with Alfresco Events.
Lastly, in the run up to the Government’s new apprenticeship levy, Stand Out has taken a look into the relationship between the events industry and apprenticeships. You can have a read here.
