Brighton Marathon Weekend, the race event, has introduced a new Event Village on Brighton beach for this year’s event.

The Event Village will be open for the whole of Brighton Marathon Weekend (April 7-9, 2017) and will welcome all the Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens Mini Mile entrants as well as those for the BM10K and Brighton Marathon as they collect their race packs – getting an exciting first glimpse of the BM10k and Brighton Marathon finish line to inspire them.

The new Event Village will be situated beside Madeira Drive where more than 100,000 people (based on previous years) will visit over the weekend. This is the first time ever that Brighton Marathon Weekend has created a three-day village for its participants and their supporters in one central location.

The Event Village will also feature a preparation and recovery area (2XU Recovery Zone) where runners can chat with training experts, get a massage and visit the shops featuring running products.

Tom Naylor, managing director of Grounded Events, said: “Moving the Brighton Marathon Weekend Exhibition to become part of The Event Village on the beach at Madeira Drive creates the perfect place to come and be inspired before your race and to celebrate with friends and family afterwards. The whole weekend will be a hive of activity for our participants and their supporters. We can’t wait to welcome them to the 2017 Brighton Marathon Weekend there.”
