The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced it will be the venue for the inaugural Cambridgeshire Food and Drink Festival. The festival is set to take place June 23-24, and is organised in conjunction with Events By B3. The event will include a combination of culinary events, family fun and camping.
Louise Rhodes, events manager at Events By B3, commented: “We want this to be much more than just a food festival, so we’ve taken care to create an event that caters to everyone. In addition to more than 250 food and drink exhibitors, local and celebrity chef demonstrations and culinary workshops will showcase the best of local food and drink. There will also be feasts for the ears and eyes in the shape of live music, a vintage funfair and dozens of other attractions.”
The festival will be based on the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival, also organised by Events By B3.
Ryan Moroney, operations manager at The East of England Arena and Events Centre, added: “We wanted to replace our annual Autumn Country and Food fair with an event that had broader appeal, and the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival proved to be an excellent template. With our agricultural heritage, the ‘farm to fork’ movement is important to us and it’s clear that Events By B3 shares our enthusiasm for supporting local food producers.”
